"What we practice grows stronger."
(Note: no symbolism behind the picture; I just thought it was high time for a doggo photo)
Years ago, a client left me a plain notecard with this statement. I have it on my fridge. He was right.
We're all practicing something-- the kicker is, it's not always conscious let alone on purpose. And it's getting stronger. Maybe it's an external habit like excess caffeine. Maybe it's an internal habit like worrying.
The more we practice anything, the stronger influence it has over us. Think of it this way-- a life is simply a looooong string of practiced habits, end to end, day to day, year to year.
Is today's practice the foundation you want for your life?
